Adam Wrede – President and Technical Director
Adam is a highly sought after youth trainer in the Mid-Atlantic region who brings over 20 years of playing and coaching experience to the FTSA training fields. He was a standout player at Goucher College where he was a 4 year starter and earned CAC All-Conference honors. Adam spent 4 years as a Director/Trainer for Coerver Training before being recruited to the Soccer Association of Columbia (SAC) to help turn around the girls youth travel program. Since joining SAC, Adam’s teams exhibit profound technical skill and in-depth knowledge of the game. The crisp quick passing displayed by Adam’s teams have become a signature of his. His current girls set up is one of the best in the region and you can watch many of the girls in action on the team’s youtube channel. Adam also holds a USSF ‘C’ license and is two-thirds done achieving his ‘B’ license.
Adam was also a Co-Director to Soccer Player Development Institute with the legendary collegiate coach, Matt Smith as well as a joint owner of Soccer Jamboree.
Lucas Winters – Head Trainer
As a player, Winters was on the youth national team pools and captained the Region 1 Olympic Development Team and the Maryland State Olympic Development Team. He trained with Crystal Palace USA’s professional outfit in the USL and had the opportunity to train with Crystal Palace’s academy in London. His Casa Mia Bays youth club team won three National Championships. Unfortunately Winters’ career was cut short. He immediately delved into coaching! He has spent time learning from numerous European Academies, including- Manchester City, 1. FC Kaiserslautern, and Eintracht Frankfurt. He currently serves as Northern Virginia Community College’s mens head assistant coach while he finishes his degree at George Mason University. Winters holds a USSF National Youth License as well as a USSF National ‘C’ License.
Jake Pace – Head Trainer and College Adviser
Jake currently serves as an assistant and director of operations to the legendary college coach Sasho Cirovski for the Maryland men’s soccer team. He finished his career at Maryland with 13 goals, including a career-high six as a captain his senior year. Jake played an important role in back-to-back Atlantic Coast Conference championships in 2012 and 2013 and helped guide the Terps to the College Cup in each of his last two seasons at Maryland. Cirovski describes Jake as “one of the hardest working players I’ve ever coached and he possesses all the characteristics we desire in our program.”
Erick Camodeca – Director of Speed and Agility Training
Erick is currently the head track and field coach at Stevenson University after a short stint as a member of the Loyola University Track & Field Coaching Staff. He was previously with York College, where he served for five years as the head coach of the NCAA Division III track and field program.
The 2010 and 2011 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Men’s Track and Field Coach of the Year, Camodeca coached three All-Americans and six national qualifiers in hurdles, jumps, and distance. The Pottsville, PA native guided the Spartans to 25 CAC showings, including eight conference titles.
Camodeca was also an assistant football coach at York County School of Technology from 2008-2011, and prior to his work at York, he was a graduate assistant at Goucher College for the cross country and track and field programs.
Camodeca graduated from Goucher College, where he captained the track and field team. He also played soccer during his freshman and sophomore seasons. A full bio can be found HERE courtesy of the Stevenson University website.
