In an effort to continue to provide opportunities for players to develop and grow, FTSA formed futsal teams for the winter of 2015/2016. The focus of the endeavor, as with all FTSA activities, is to facilitate maximum growth and development. Futsal presents a unique environment for players to work on their touch and reaction skills. Players were challenged both technically and tactically to utilize team possession in order to generate attacking movements. With the small roster size associated with futsal teams, all participating players were given maximum attention by FTSA staff thus allowing each player to be efficiently coached and developed. Please contact Adam if you’re interested in joining next year’s futsal teams.
This summer, we are excited to introduce First Touch Soccer Academy’s First Annual 3v3 Summer Farm League. The 3v3 league offers a dynamic opportunity for elite players to play during the summer, where they will be rewarded for exhibiting a true understanding of the game. There will be divisions for u7-u12 players, each team will play two 15 min games on their play day and FTSA jerseys will be provided for all player participants. Team rosters will be composed of no more than 5 players and the scoring of the games will consist of added value placed on team possession and passes completed as well as the overall score. Weekly moves and challenges will be introduced by Coach Adam in a quick tutorial prior to each team’s play day, and additional points will go to teams whose players successfully execute the weekly move during the course of game-play. For a compete rundown of the rules and guidelines please download the FTSA 3v3 Summer Farm League Rules.
All games will be played at the Volleyball House in Elkridge, MD on the turf field. (5635 Furnance Avenue Elkridge, MD) If you’re interested in placing your child in the summer league, please follow the registration link below to register your team.
