FTSA’s inaugural summer camp was a huge success! Over 50 campers attended the session and judging by the smiles on the kids and the feedback from the parents, everyone had a blast! Here are a few comments that came in after the conclusion of camp:
Sadie had a blast this week at camp! So glad the rain didn’t happen during the camp hours. You and your team did a great job with the kids, especially in the crazy heat! We look forward to seeing her “moves” on the soccer field this fall!
Maria shared similar thoughts:
I just want to thank you for providing such an awesome camp! The kids really enjoyed your camp and said today “this was the best camp ever!” They learned a lot and after being outside all day in that heat, they would come home to play more soccer and practice moves they learned from you all! The kids asked me if you were having another camp this summer to sign them up! I hope you are still going to do technical training in the fall, we will def. sign up all 3 kids. Thanks again!
Greg’s kids had a great week too:
Sofie and Lily had a great time at camp last week. It must of been a lot of fun because despite the heat they were excited to get back to camp each day. Both girls said they learned new skills and they think the camp has made them a better player. Thanks to you and your staff for a great week!
Thank you to all the parents who entrusted your children with us. We hope to see you again real soon!
This summer, we are excited to introduce First Touch Soccer Academy’s First Annual 3v3 Summer Farm League. The 3v3 league offers a dynamic opportunity for elite players to play during the summer, where they will be rewarded for exhibiting a true understanding of the game. There will be a u7/u8 division and a u9/u10 division.
Team rosters will be composed of no more than 5 players and the scoring of the games will consist of added value placed on team possession and passes completed as well as the overall score. Weekly moves and challenges will be introduced by Coach Adam in a quick tutorial prior to each team’s play day, and additional points will go to teams whose players successfully execute the weekly move during the course of gameplay.
For a compete rundown of the rules and guidelines please download the FTSA 3v3 Summer Farm League Rules.

Youth soccer trainer and head coach, Adam Wrede, has launched a youth soccer training company – First Touch Soccer Academy (FTSA). FTSA’s mission is to provide elite training to elite youth soccer players from Howard County, Maryland and the surrounding areas.
Coach Adam’s unique developmental style has proven to be popular and his services in demand. After being asked by many SAC parents in the U8 age group to prepare their players for tryouts and life in travel soccer, Coach Adam saw the need to reach into the younger age groups and provide the proper foundation for these players.
Coach Adam enjoyed a successful collegiate career at Goucher College where he was named to the All-CAC team. Adam spent 4 years as a Director and Trainer for Coerver Training where he was consistantly requested by clubs and a camp favorite across Maryland.
FTSA currently trains players U6-U11 during multi-week training sessions at various locations around Howard County, including SoccerDome and Howard County Sports Complex. Training sessions will be conducted year-round. In addition to group training sessions, Coach Adam will be conducting Summer Camps and organizing youth soccer leagues.
